She began her hair journey at the age of 18 as a receptionist at Toni&Guy.  Meka fell in love with the craft and artistry right away and fully committed and dedicated herself to hair. She attended Toni&Guy Hairdressing academy at the age of 21 where she fine-tuned her skills and further developed her artistic drive.

To this day, Meka has been doing hair for over 9 years. Meka specializes in men’s grooming, multi-cultural hair and color corrections. She believes that continuing your education by taking advanced classes is the utmost important quality a hairdresser can possess.

Akiko has been in the industry for nearly 25 years.  She began her career at Michael John in Beverly Hills alongside many of Hollywood’s top stylists.  She then moved to Toni & Guy Newport Beach in Orange County, furthering her education in advanced styling and cutting techniques where she served a loyal clientele for 15 years.  Her many years of experience and passion for the beauty industry has allowed her to stay current with the latest trends. Akiko specializes in men & women’s haircut and styling. Her goal is to make you look and feel fantastic. She is committed to excellence and listens to your needs to help you achieve the look you desire.

Alissa has been creating beautiful hair in Newport Beach since 2003. Her never ending love for education keeps her hair game on trend. Alissa is known for a low maintenance dimensional look with a high impact for the everyday girl. She is a wife, busy mom of two and the creator of The Sauce Blog

Andrea Glasgow

Andrea’s love and passion for the hair industry started when she was a little girl watching her father at his craft.  Her father was the first male hairstylist in Corona Del Mar and owned two hair salons.  She graduated from Golden West College and started her hairstyling career.  After 30 plus years she still gets excited to go to work.  Her background includes Vidal Sassoon Academy, Hairtalk hair extension Specialist, Hairloc extension, Schwartzkof color, Goldwell color, Redkin color and Brazilian Blowout. She continues her education by taking classes on current hair techniques and trends like Balayage.  Andrea receives great satisfaction when her clients feel good about their new look when they leave her chair. #hairtherapy

Hi I’m Cindy Munsell, I have been in the beauty industry for 36 years and still look forward to getting into the Salon every week. I have been fortunate enough to have worked in some very education rich environments. Some of my training includes Bumble & Bumble, Sassoon, Nick Arrojo & Anh Co Tran. Early in my career I was with Carlton Hair, then spent 16 years with Empire Salon before landing at Platino Salon & Suites.
The two things that are most rewarding to me are making people look and feel good about themselves.  Color is my favorite adventure, with a client’s canvas constantly changing I really enjoy the daily challenges in the Salon.

On a personal side, I have a son, Wyatt (27). He attends college part time and works as a swim instructor. His passion is kids with special needs and hopes to work with  adaptive kids in high school. As for me, I’ve spent the last 12 years with my husband Kirk. We love spending time with our big blended family and I feel lucky to have so much love in this chapter of life.

Cristina’s career as a hairdresser began in 2014 after attending Toni and Guy Hairdressing Academy. Cristina’s passion is being able to create a style dedicated to one’s lifestyle! She specializes in custom color and is dedicated to continued education. She is a wife and mom of two!

JP Provencio

JP started his hairdressing career in Los Angeles along- side talented & educated stylist. He worked as a Creative Director for Toni & Guy Newport Beach for 13 years.  This is where he built a well-respected career and strong clientele.  JP is a Master Stylist specializing in precision and textured haircuts. His years of experience enable him to communicate and listen to the client’s specific needs. By combining his passion for the beauty industry and skin care.  He is now enjoying a new chapter in his career and excited to bring you along his journey.

Officially started to cut hair in 2007 where I opened my first barbershop in Las Vegas, NV. I owned and operated 1620 Hair Cut Club for 7 years before moving back to CA. In 2014 is where I started to cut for 18/8 Fine Men Salon. There, I managed to become the lead stylist, training and hiring all new stylist.  I then became the manger of one of the corporate locations, and I was a member of there Steel Team that went all over the country to help franchisees open and run their store. From there I went to work at Sporty Cuts in Irvine, CA while I fulfilled my dream of becoming a trainer and a product rep. As a product rep I represented Esquire grooming reaching my milestone of becoming a platform artist. Now I own a studio inside Platino Salon and Suites where I have been for the last 3 years. I also have my own men’s grooming line, SiR Grooming that is sold online and in the salon. I continue to strive and make my mark in the barber  industry, by sharing my tips and tricks with my peers and up and coming barbers and stylist.

Hide Motokado

Hide is a Japanese Hairstylist who has originally trained in Japan and has over 20 years of experience. He is fascinated and inspired by the hair and high fashion worlds.

Hide decided to relocate to Los Angeles to launch his career as a session hairstylist.

His skill led to success in building a relationship with leading hair shows including ISSE (Long Beach), ISSE Chicago, IBS (Las Vegas) and IBS (New York).  Hide’s creation and passion for what he does has catapulted him into gaining a well-known international reputation.

Jennifer has been in the industry specializing in women’s color and cut for over 30 years. She credits her successful career with a foundation built on education and outstanding customer service.

Da Ol

Da Ol has been in the hair industry for over 18 years and has been part of the TIGI Technical Collective Team for the past 7 years.  In addition to working as a colorist behind the chair, Da has worked and participated in National Hairshows, Photoshoots, Ad Campaigns and has also been a finalist in many hair competitions.  Da enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion for the industry and hair color every chance he gets.

Leonard Castro

Leonard was influenced by many family members who were hairdressers.  He even worked in a family salon where he found he had a passion for doing hair when his career took off.  Since then, he has been fortunate to experience many sides of the industry from Hair Shows to Photoshoots and was even selected to become one of the official hairdressers to the Rams Cheerleaders in the 80’s.  From there, Leonard went on to become the National Educational Director for Carlton Hair where he also had the opportunity to become a platform artist.  Being a platform artist allowed him to experience the rest of the world organizing hair shows and teaching classes to thousand of hairdressers.  Eventually, he opened his own salon and was able to bring his passion to his own team.  After 35 years in the industry his passion and love for his craft are still as strong as ever.

Matt began his professional career in 1997. He spent the better part of my 20+ year career as a stylist and educator for Vidal Sassoon. Educating and building great clienteles at Vidal Sassoon in San Francisco, Beverly Hills, The Advanced Academy in Santa Monica, and the last 12 years in South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa.
As someone who has spent the past 23 years teaching and practicing the art of precision haircutting, he can say that he hasn’t ever worked a day in my life. That’s because he truly loves what he does! Matt absolutely loves taking into account each client’s personal features, bone structure, head shape, face shape, hair texture & density, lifestyle, and personal taste to create custom looks that compliment and accentuate their finer features, while providing an easy to manage style that will get them compliments from the moment, they leave my chair, to the day they return. His greatest satisfaction is hearing back from my clients, just how many compliments they received on their hair. That’s because at the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about!

Adriana has 20+ years’ experience as a color specialist. One of the best decisions she made was to attend the Vidal Sassoon Academy at the beginning of her career. This led her to many opportunities in the industry working alongside top industry leaders as well as traveling to London to work at the Advanced Academy as an educator and Color Director. She built successful clienteles working in San Francisco and Orange County. Her experiences working in creative environments as well as in salons, helped her maintain the most up to date knowledge in technique and products giving her the ability to create looks that range from natural, modern, and sexy to the most edgy and current trends. Her commitment to maintaining the health of the hair is her number 1 priority, as well as maintaining open and honest communication with her clients. Adriana is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of work and strives to creating a look that always compliments her client’s style.

Sarah is a young and upcoming stylist here in Orange County.  She’s known for creating soft and beautiful lived-in color for everyone- from the working mothers, to the girls away at college. Her color techniques are high impact while still keeping it low maintenance.  Sarah prides herself in engaging in ever changing trends of this industry by continuing her education online and in person.

Born and raised in Bern, Switzerland, Ursula Neuhaus Imboden has called Southern California her home for almost three decades. Following completion of an extensive hair styling education in one of  Europe’s most prestigious schools, she set out to explore the California Gold Coast.

Always striving to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction, Ursula soon established a diverse and loyal following. In order to expand her unique vision to a broader client base, she opened her first upscale Orange County salon in 2000.
